Our Story

Marketing Influence serves clients around the country. The firm was established in 2011 by Bertha Edington, a seasoned marketing executive with extensive experience in national and international business. The goal was to serve people and companies that do not have a full in-house marketing staff, and still need marketing support to continue to gain visibility and grow.

Today that goal is still being met with a team that has lived marketing from all sides including advertising agencies and in-house corporate offices. With practice in every style and technique of marketing, the team has a history of creating and implementing successful programs for solo entrepreneurs to corporations.

As a small business that has grown quickly, Marketing Influence is very familiar with the marketing needs of smaller companies with big goals. We understand the importance of customizing marketing plans on an individual basis, since every service or product’s target market, culture, goals, and budgets are different. With a holistic approach that translates tactically, we can make the difference for you.

Bertha is a longtime marketing executive with high-tech startups, international corporations, advertising agencies and marketing firms. She believes that it is critical to track results to review and enhance success. Bertha has successfully created everything from new websites to lead generation campaigns to brand development programs. Her efforts have significantly contributed to the market awareness and sales growth of her client’s organizations.

Shea SolazzoWeb Designer and Digital Marketing Strategist

Shea is an experienced Web Designer and Social Media Strategist with a demonstrated history of working in the media production industry. She has both a big-picture grasp of marketing and a laser focus on current digital marketing trends and capabilities. Shea is a strong media and communication professional with excellent writing skills. She is skilled in Web Design, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Digital Marketing, and Online Communication. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts focused in Marketing and Media Studies from University of San Diego.

Jay has had the fortune to work for some of the top agencies in San Diego. As Principal & Creative Director of Solutio, he brings 16 years of art direction experience with private and public companies in industries such as biotechnology, high-tech, electronics, and manufacturing as the marketing foundation and know-how to be a valuable marketing arm for many clients. He provides companies with the core expertise of brand intelligence & development, marketing & messaging, print and website design.
