HTML

HTML stands for Hypertext Markup Language, and is the standard language for creating web pages and applications. Using tags such as <input /> provides structure to the way information appears on a website or application. Browsers use HTML to interrupt page content.

Some web development programs such as WordPress, offer a selection of “themes” to build sites on, in which HTML is already embedded to create certain styles. Usage of these themes requires a minimum of technical website development skills, however a basic understanding of HTML coding is very helpful when doing anything with digital media.
